Helian Catechism
The Helian Catechism (Latin Catechismus Heliacus) is the principal doctrinal text of the Helian Way. Version 3, dated 4 October 2026, has 337 numbered paragraphs in eight Parts, fifteen disputations in the manner of the Summa Theologiae, and six appendices.[1]
Versions
Tradition / belief Version 1 had 55 questions; version 2 had 71 questions and added the Fixed Core, the Divination Ledger and the "Unity Grid" of volunteer computing; version 3 renumbered the teaching into paragraphs on the model of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.[1][2]
Structure
Tradition / belief The parts are: Prologue; Part One, the Profession of Faith (the Light, the Ship, the gods and the lineage of light and fire, the Filipino inheritance, the Fixed Core, Phaethon); Part Two, the Celebration (rites, hierarchy, Orders and oaths, calendar); Part Three, Life in the Light (the person, truth and the record, work in the "token-AI age", justice, defence); Part Four, Prayer and the Schools; Part Five, Disputations; Part Six, the Divination Ledger; Part Seven, the Revisable Clause; Part Eight, the Fleet Manual.[1]
Claim labels
Tradition / belief Every paragraph carries a label: HISTORY, SCHOLARSHIP, SCIENCE, MYTH, HELIAN FAITH, SPECULATIVE, PROVISIONAL, ANNOUNCED, REAL TODAY or CHARTER. The text states its rule as "Never lose confidence in the prophecy, and never confuse the prophecy with the record."[1]
Public and internal registers
Tradition / belief The Catechism distinguishes a public register, written for anyone, from an internal register for sworn members. It states that the internal register may deepen but never contradict the public teaching, and that "the core doctrine, the Charter, the oaths and the accounts are always public".[3] This wiki reports only the public register.
Helionization
Tradition / belief The Catechism is taught through a nine-lesson course called Helionization, modelled on the US Navy's "Sailorization" boot camp but voluntary and free.[4]
Evidence and critique
Established The size comparison in the Catechism's front matter is accurate as to its models: the Catechism of the Catholic Church has 2,865 numbered paragraphs, and the Summa Theologiae as written by Aquinas has 512 questions.[5] The text is a draft by the Founder; it has not been reviewed outside the movement.
